Aftermarket for Odyssey

2381 Views 13 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Lorax
First of all hello everyone and thank you for reading, trying to help, my post. I would like to know please where I can go for aftermarket parts. ie: clear corners, altezza type lights, Air Intakes, anything. I really enjoy chuck's page and all the mods and 'how-tos' but just looking for a few other things. Will I have to find a Japanese magazine and order from that? thank you much.

I'm having the same difficulty. I'm trying to locate a source for Japanese bodykits. I'm also interested in clear corners and other items too.

A little more than a year ago I came across this site. I never contacted the individual but maybe someone should. He appears to be trying to do the same thing with his LaGreat that most of us are trying with our Odys. Have any of you seen this before?

Yes I have. I did try to contact him before but got no reply. I think I'll try again. Thanks for reminding me. Although, based on his website it seems he's more interested in the "info" of US parts rather than the parts themselves. But we'll see.

I just wrote him at [email protected] Is that the same email you guys had?

Where did you get that email address from? Most of the site info is in Japanese.

You get use to skimming Japanese sites when you're trying to mod a Japanese car.
I just found something that looked like an email address and copied and pasted it.

It was at the bottom of the Link page:

Nemogira,

That's a pretty cool pic of that Japanese Ody with the home made clear corners. Wonder if that side marker on the bumper is OEM in Japan ? I'll probably check mine out this week and see if it's easy to pull out the ambers.
thanks

I'm not sure if that side marker on his bumper is OEM. I do know they have side markers near the front doors as a option for the Lagreat. As for the ambers - he said had to removed the headlight cover by heating it with a hairdryer. He then carefully removed the amber - then resealed it with a waterproof gel. Similar to this:

Thanks for the reply and info. Sounds like a weekend project. Maybe do it during my vacation next week.

I took a close look at removing the amber reflector sections from the front lights this weekend. It appears that they are bonded and not screwed in as with the S2000. It should be no problem to break them out, but they may not look right without a clear reflector to replace the amber. I don't want to do it if it won't look like it came from the factory that way. Although the picture above looks pretty good I would probably need to see a real close shot to decide.

Has anyone else done this yet.
Lorax,

Check out:

Not an Odyssey, but you get an idea of how it would look.

Thanks nemogira,

I think that I'll wait for OEM clears unless I run out of other mods to do first.
