Hey all,
I just picked up my 02 RRP EXL on Saturday. After a well fought battle with the dealer, I drove my ody home Saturday afternoon. While at home cleanin it up, I happened to notice a quarter-size dent in the hood...hold on it gets better... I called the dealer and they agreed to repair it no questions asked. The paint is ok so I don't have to worry about a botched paint job.
So, last night I noticed some spots on my driveway coincidentally in the same place I've been parking my ody. I looked under the van and sure enough, it's leaking ever so slightly. I open the hood to find it's power steering fluid. It's not the pump, and due to the slow nature of the leak it's probably (God willing) a loose hose or coupling. The resevoir looked clean.
When I go to close the hood, the darn thing doesn't close! I dropped the hood from a foot above the grill and it doesn't go down. I then discover that my hood is bent enough where on the left side, I can't even get my pinky between the hood and the side of the van, but on the right side I can get my whole hand in the engine compartment! I'm venturing to say that the van wasn't inspected completely and that the dent in the hood was caused by someone trying to force it closed! Needless to say, this will be going back to the dealer to be fixed if not replaced.
UGH!
