I called my pediatrician today just to get his input on carseats and he recommended I check this out so I thought I'd forward it to the list:

Some good stuff here. I'd highly recommend everyone on here with kids at least scanning this article as I think its got something for everyone and hey, its the AAP.

PS Pay careful attention to the part about the 'shield booster' then notice the big asterik next to the Cosco Grand Explorer in the chart towards the bottom.

If only ALL pediatricians would become familiar with the guidelines. Shield boosters are the only type of carseat still being made that are widely considered to be a poor option. Even so, without the shield they are an acceptable backless belt positioning booster.
