I haven't looked at other manufacturers or models in depth, but Toyota, Chevy, Ford at least also have the same feature. Basically, if you buy any new vehicle you're going to be dealing with something like this. As with VCM, you can install a modification that disables it without requiring it to be turned off every time you start the vehicle.I wouldn't ever buy a vehicle with that feature. If I found out the car/truck I was looking at cut the motor off at a stop light on a test drive, I'd get out and tell the salesman to drive it and me back to the dealership! Honda has several features nowdays that assist only one entity: HONDA
2 choices,I have a 2018 Odyssey Elite and my Auto Engine Stop feature has never worked well. The engine never stays off more than 30 or 45 seconds. Many times it turns off and starts immediately after coming to a stop. I loathe this feature!
