I just got a BAFX OBD2 scanner to be used for my 2007 Odyssey EX. Used multiple app Torque Lite, Torque Pro, MotorData, CarScanner, Piston and all of them can connect to the BAFX scanner but would stop and say could not communicate with the ECU. I know that the scanner is good as I tried it on my 2005 Corolla and it was able to connect to ECU. I also know that the Odyssey ECU can communicate with OBD2 scanner as I have tried my friends Bluedriver and works fine.

I contacted BAFX and said that it should work with 2007 Odyssey. My car is manufactured in Alabama and is sold in California so it should be good.

If you are using BAFX can you tell what year and model is your Ody?

Thanks!

My BAFX connects on my 2011 Fit and 2016 Odyssey. The only time I have seen a communication error involves the device I use to connect to the BAFX (iPhone). If the phone is shut off, it has trouble recognizing the scanner when powered-on, if the scanner is already plugged in.

Is BAFX willing to replace your unit? Are you able to return it where it was purchased?
