My battery woes are of my own making. I left all the interior lights on one night after vacuuming (damn that infernal switch on the dash!) Next morning - dead battery. I tried to put the car in neutral to roll it into the driveway for a quick jumpstart. For some reason the Odyssey will not let you change gears unless there is sufficient current to activate the ignition. I had to put the battery charger on it for about 2 hours before it would go into neutral. Went and bought one of those portable jumpstart devices that night... Anyone know how to get the Ody into neutral with a dead battery?

On top of your steering column (in front of your gauge cluster), there should be a little rectangular coverthat you can pry off. Once you do that, press/hold the switch inside and you should be able to shift out of park without any power.
