Best Video of DIY Inner/Outer Tie Rod Replacement

After much searching since I didn't post pics of my install, I found this video which fully explains the whole process of removing and replacing the inner tie rod, outer tie rod and bellows boot.

Darn good video!

Now I know how to do it ...properly :D
I just finished swapping out my driver side inner tie rod...

Boy, there is NO WAY you can get the oem tie rod off with out the tie rod removal tool. period. Best $50 I ever spent, took about 5 seconds to get it off. (that's what she said) lol.

Getting the billow boot back onto the steering rack was a bit tricky, the grease kept making it slip off...(that's what she said)lol...

Oh, and in the video, it doesn't show there is a special washer that covers the nut you use to remove the tie rod from the rack...I used a hammer and a chisel to pry it up and bend it back so that I could get the crow foot (removal tool) onto the nut.
Press in/out Ball Joints

If you aren't replacing the entire arm (easiest), you can just press the old out and press-in the new ones as demonstrated in this video. (SPC makes camber ball joints so that you can add or subtract 1.5^ camber.

Outstanding video. I'm getting ready to do this on my 08 Ody. Wish me luck! Do most LAPS such s as Advanced AP rent/loaner these tie rod tools?
I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to confirm that replacing the inner tie rod is possible on 2004 Ody. The passenger side tire took a major hit which broke the inner tie rod. I had a shop tell me that the whole rack had to be replaced and it would cost $1087. Surely I can replace just the inner rod unless there is something they know that I don't.

Thanks for your reply in advance!

Unfortunately, the tools rented by the auto parts stores do not include all the adapters that the Harbor Freight tool does.
My 1995 Ody needs the 17mm adapter, so I had to buy the tool.
But buying a $35 tool beats the heck out of $60 an hour to a shop!
Does anybody know which size adapter 2008 model needs? Thanks.
That thread helped me a lot. Thanks for sharing the video.
