Hello all, sorry if this has been covered already, BUT...
Our Co2 sensor has been throwing codes for awhile. When the tranny was changed 3000 miles ago, the tech put a new rear Co2 sensor in. The check engine light came back on a few weeks ago, we bought a universal sensor which kept the light off for about a week. DH bought another sensor and installed it yesterday...he noticed the old sensor was really blackened, due to rich mix??
We've been getting 17-19 mpg, used to get 21+/- before the tranny change...
Any thoughts? Do we need to find ethanol free gas or use higher grade? Or just get an OEM sensor?

What's the code it is throwing? Maybe it's the upper sensor that is bad. It affects how the car runs. BTW, OEM is best for sensors.
