Blend Door Actuator - Passenger Side

About a year ago our 2009 Honda Odyssey had warm air coming out of the driver side and cool air coming out of the passenger side when the air-conditioning was on. The drivers blend door was working. I was able to see it. We had the condenser replaced ($730) and it seemed to help, although not very cold.

This year the cold air is coming out of the driver side and warm air out of the passenger side. I plan to check the pasenger side actuator tonight when I'm home. Someone suggested there may be a setting which allows both side to cool even with a broken actuator. I don't think "Sync" would do that.

My questions are:

1) is there a setting we are missing that may help.

2) I see the video for the passenger side, and it seems easy except it's hard to get to. Any suggestions on where to get a good cheap on. Amazon Link?

3) Any other suggestions on a different cause, or tips?

4) I have an ODBD2 plug in module and some free iPhone apps. Is there a free iPhone app that shows if the actuator is working. I also ready about calibration of the actuator.

Thanks.

There are HOARDS of threads for this. Searching is a very good option. Set it to Lo and both sides should usually blow ice cold to rule in or out the blend door motor.

Thanks for the tip...is that to see if it's stuck and will jar it loose?

I think I've read all of them. I removed and cleaned the driver side a couple of year ago, turned out not to be the issue on that side, so I'm hoping to rule out before I replace this one. Driver side seems harder to get to.

Thanks, I did do some searching, but most issues seem to be on the driver side blowing warm. I removed and replaced that one and it was hard to get to.
Try turning the hvac settings from digits to lo or hi and then back again. See if this fixes it so you know it's actually the blend door actuator.
Thans for the tip...is that to see if it's stuck and will jar it loose?
