Hi. I'm having issues when I try to use Bluetooth with GPS on my phone ( Waze or Google ). I have a Galaxy 21. My phone connects fine, but the audio will not come through my 2016 Odyssey speakers. I'm stumped. Does anyone know if this phone is supposed to be compatible with all Bluetooth functions ? I had a Motorola before that didn't work with all functions. But I've never had any problems with Samsung. Is there anything I can troubleshoot ? Anyone else having problems with this phone ? Thanks.

When the phone is connected to the car's BT radio, do a swipe down on the phone's screen and look for a "SmartThings". (I'm going on a limb and assume that the Samsung has the app built in). You'll find various audio out options listed and select the one for your car. Audio should come through, you may have to use a higher volume depending on the app used.

Thank You. I will give that a try this weekend. ;)

I have this issue on my Android phone occasionally. Everything looks fine but no audio output. I can usually correct it by toggling from the car connection to "Phone Speaker" and back again on the audio output pop-up menu. The menu only appears in the pull-down area when using music apps, not navigation so I'm not sure if this is your issue or not.

I paired my new S21 with my 17 EX-L last week. I just tested Waze and Google Maps - just for you :). They both worked fine.

It takes at least 30 seconds for my S21 to pair with the Ody, which I think is longer than my Pixel2 used to take.

As davensd motioned, SmartThings is used. As soon as the pairing is successful, the SmartThings "Audio output" notification appears. The S21 does that for almost all BT connections. I have 2 BT headsets. One is a Jabra set and one is an old Motorola H730. The H730 does not play music, it only works for phone calls. When the H730 pairs, SmartThings does not start up. When the Jabra set pairs, SmartThings runs.

I guess the H730 isn't a very smart thing.
