I just did this a couple of weeks ago on our '02. It was the second time. I also used the Motive power bleeder. Make sure you dry fit the bleeder cap to the master cylinder reservoir and pressurize like the instructions say to make sure you have a good leak-proof fit.

Also, try to remove as much old fluid from the mc using a syringe before you start bleeding.

I noticeed the same thing regarding the color of the fluid. I just let each caliper bleed for a pretty long time to make sure the lines were flushed.

The bleed works slower than I expected using the recomended pressure, which I believe is about 12 psi.
