I have a 2008 Odyssey with a broken aux input. It is the factory one located down by the cigarette lighter (aux power I should say). It must have been broken by the previous own as it appears something is jammed in it. I've been unable to remove and Honda wants to charge 2 hours to replace the assembly. I'd like to do this myself if I can figure out how to take that part of the console apart. I've searched this forum and googled, but cannot find pictures to help. I do find out how to remove the radio, but nothing lower. Does anyone have suggestions, or a link I could go to?

Remove the circular cover of the aux input by popping off gently with a flathead screwdriver, and then remove the internal piece of the jack input (jack receptor and circuit board) by pulling straight out with pliers. The back end of the piece you just pulled out has a black cover you can remove by undoing the 2 small clips on either side and you can then use a paper clip or pen insert to push out the blockage (mine was a broken jack).

Alternately, you can replace the whole aux input with part #39112-SHJ-003. Need to remove the lower panel to do it, but doesn't look too hard: youtube.com/watch?v=K17M9w4_wGo
