My toddler decided to be a monkey and SNAP! Off came the rear view mirror of our new 2011.

Anyway, husband removed it and it is hard to tell if it took a chunk of windshield glass with it or if it is the epoxy.

Would the epoxy be so thick that it resembles glass? Also, there is an indention on the window itself where the mirror was. So is the glue that thick or is it possible some of the glass came with it?

Also, not wanting to make the drive to the dealership unless absolutely needed. Wanting to fix ourselves.

The mirror bracket is glued to the windshield. You can get the special glue at any auto parts store. It also comes with instructions. You will also need a little allen wrench to remove the little glue tab from the bracket.
