Camera System Failure

486 Views 5 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  otaknap
I have a 2019 odyssey (Canadian version) and both my rear and lane watch camera are suddenly failing. The screen is black and reads in orange text "LaneWatch Camera System Failure" for the side mirror camera and "Camera System Failure" for the rear camera when I reverse.

I set the screen to factory reset but that didn't do anything. Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?

I looked at the fuse panel under the hood and couldnt find which fuse relates to either camera. Also looked online and its not clear to me. Anyone know if and which fuse supports the cameras? I know there are 4 fuse boxes in th2 oddy.

My last resort is disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU.

Ive ready replaced my rear camera from the honda recall.

hold power/audio + brightness + home buttons and see if it says something has failed.

is the power/audio button the actual physical dial? or is the area above it actually touch screen as well?

i'll try it when i get back home tonight.

Physical dial

Yes the brightness and home buttons are touch buttons.

Hold all those 3 and look at the diagnose screen. Take a pic and share here.

For what it's worth, I fixed it by resetting the ecu by temporary removing the negative terminal of the battery. Wanted to avoid doing that as the battery isn't easily accessible. Had to remove the cover and an air intake.

I am still curious which fuses relate to the cameras though. Hopefully this was just a glitch.
