Thanks for looking. I want to see if the following can be easily removed.
1. The plastic piece behind the "H" emblem on the grill.
I know there are 2 screws that hold the emblem but I want to remove the plastic support (base) alltogether to have an emblem-less grill.
2. How easy would it be to remove the chrome trim between the rear lights. I am not a big fan of chrome so some pieces have to go, I want to replace it with black piece.
checked yesterday and in my car the whole back piece where the license place is along with the trim is not removable like in the video. I guess the video does not apply to 2010 edition but previous model years.
If I could, I'd paint all the chrome trim around the door, grill, all emblems, and that trim in the rear. Funny thing is that I actually paid for that chrome trim in the rear as part of Touring upgrade.
I was going to debadge the rear but then I found out about the holes behind emblems. No go. I need to get them painted, I just don't want a crappy looking paint job.
As to the Aero kit, I found another dealer that sells each piece separately and even cheaper. It was like $800 and change. I am still looking at that.
I actually like the "chrome trim" on the Odyssey. To me, I think it's another nice accent. My 08EXL doesn't have it and I'm not interested in purchasing a new one simply to replace it.
On my 08EXL it's the same exterior color paint as my Odyssey. I know that my Odyssey is silver, but if your interested in replacing yours and want to switch, let me know. You would have to paint mine Black to match your Odyssey, but I can't imagine that would be that hard of a project. LMK!
So anyhow it's been few months we have been enjoying the ody and the chrome is getting more and more on my nerves. I decided that I'm going to paint the chrome in the rear, the chrome on the grill and all emblems.

My understanding is that 08 is different from 09-10. Maybe i'll stop by the dealer see what they cost, replace it and then sell the chrome one cheap to offset the cost.
The 05 to 07 was one style and the 08-10 was changed to another style. Too bad your van is not white cause I actually changed my white trim piece out for a chrome piece couple years back. If I remember, the painted one cost a little more than the chrome one. As for liking or not liking the chrome piece, guess it's a preference thing. I think the matching color trim gives it sportiness look and the chrome trim gives it an upscale look (just shows how old I am....haha).
Here is my how-to I wrote up when I got it done. There is a lot of stuff to take off just to get that license trim piece out, but not hard.
Honda's type II coolant from $25 to $30 for a gallon in all 3 dealerships here in Austin. A year ago it was $14.
OEM engine mounts over one thousand just for parts! There is no expensive electronics or metals going into manufacturing of these
I'm now buying same coolant at Acura for $10 less.
I...

The top mounting bolt on my alternator broke off and I need to replace the bolt, but not sure what size it is. Can someone help me out please? I am going to have to drill and tap out the old one. It is a 2008 model
My 2007 EX-L has never been never a daily driver. Bought it mostly for trips with the family with occasional forays into town, and its 120,000 miles have been relatively problem free. It's a great car in many respects and I do marvel at the value received. But the day I bought it and learned...
Save yourself from tearing apart the front head to fix this oil leak. Sadly, Honda doesn't sell the gasket and you need to buy the whole VTEC assembly, this also requires you to remove the front valve cover and camshaft assembly to replace it.
Make sure the assembly (that is taken apart in the...
