I've ordered a separate center console for my 2001 Odyssey. I need more storage than the tray provides for my junk!

I was thinking...does anyone know if it will be possible to remove the fold down tray and re-install it in the middle row, on one of the captain's chairs there? It sure would be convenient to have that for the kids AND a storage console for me.

Without actually having tried it, I think it's very feasible. Looking at the center seats, it looks like you could engineer an L-shaped bracket to fasten the table to and then fasten the lower leg of the L to the bottom of the seat rail.

You could also make it so it fastens to a bracket that would slide under the left leg of the right seat and the right leg of the left seat when the seats were latched in; then it would be removable if you wanted to slide the seats together.

I'm sure there'd be hurdles to overcome, but hey, that's where the satisfaction of modding happens.
