Hello odyclub members

I have 11 odyssey and last night the change battery message and icon came on while driving home from trick or treating. In July i had the battery changed due to the same message with an interstate battery and 2 years ago had the alternator changed with a reman denso battery. The van drove fine no issues. The light will go on and off after a few miles of driving on the hway. What would be my best solution . Should I changed the positive battery sensor? Alternator ? Thank you for the help as usually.

Good suggestions, I would specifically check to make sure the oem battery clamps are tight to the battery posts. For some strange reason honda battery post clamps typically require a shim when installing aftermarket batteries. Shims are avail any auto parts store.

might not hurt to check the alternator connections as well.
While checking that, make sure there are no oil leaks above the alternator, as this may be the cause of premature failure of the alternator.

seeing more posts lately of denso remans going...

it would be good to see the voltage/output when the light comes on.

do you have a scanguage or obdii scanner bluetooth or other scanner, where you could view the output voltage in realtime?
i have a scan tool. i can see live data. im gong to try whenever the light wants to come on.

I ordered a reman Denso from RA. I had to return it because they somehow
fit the TSB warning tag under the pulley causing it to not spin. Had to go local to a Honda dealer to get it instead because I needed it that day.

You couldn't just R&R the pully to remove the tag? Dumb that they put it there, but to save a couple/three hundred bucks, I'd spend 5 minutes on the pully.

Read all these threads for the P3400...

do a battery cable reset for the bottom two codes, see if they clear up.
