Hi,

I have noticed that when my 09 Ody is idling (of course I dont know if it does it while driving as I am in the car), there is a chirping type of noise from under the hood, it is right near the belt but I would almost say its near where the brake fluid is located.

I notice it when the vehicle is running & I am pretty sure its not the belt (the noise isnt on the belt, but close).

Any ideas from my lousy description?

Thanks,
Rich

There were some older threads on Heatshield causing the chirping at idle.

Could be the heatshield at the front of the engine. I had to add a stainless steel strap clamp on it after finding out from the dealer that it would cost close to $300 to replace. The heatshield rots there if you live in an area that uses LOTS of salt during the winter.
