Hello, again,

My (awesome) ODY (2000 EX) is so tall and wide that I find it hard to a) reach the middle of the windshield and b) reach almost anywhere near the middle of the top to, for example, apply wax, etc. Even standing on the base of the door opening leaves me too far from the middle to do anything there. A ladder would leave me too far from the side to be safe. - any ideas? While I'm here, any tips on cleaning the inside of the windshield? I't's also hard to reach the iinside base of the windshield.

I use a step stool. You can get up a few steps and not be too far away like you are with a ladder. Something like this works nice, http://www.target.com/common/catalog/product.jhtml?navAction=push&navCou nt=1&prodid=47590&catnav=8839.

A word of caution, do yourself a favor and head to Home Depot and buy some foam pipe insullation - 1/2" size. Wrap the insullation around the top bar and legs to protect you paint if the step stool would move on you and bang into the car. The insullation is very cheap and you be very glad you spent $2 to save your $30,000 car paint.

I noticed the same problem with reaching the roof and stopped by WalMart yesterday and purchased a step ladder and a Chenille Wash Mop with telescoping 45" handle.

The wash mop should do the job as far as washing the roof goes. Don't know about waxing yet.

I haven't tried it with the Ody yet, but with the old Caravan I used to stand on the rear tire to reach to roof and the front tire to reach accross the windshield. Used to really embarass the wife at gas stations. There I am, squeegee in hand, standing on the front tire and holding on to the wiper arm for balance!
