I need help with my 99 Odyssey. The climate control panel goes dead at times. The fan still works but nothing else. All the lights go out on the panel and ac doesn't work. The next morning everything seems fine. It seems to cut out once the engine has warmed up. I've checked the fuses, they're good. The fact that it comes back unexpected is odd. I took it to the mechanic but they did'nt find anything wrong. The ABS light is on as well but the computer doesn't list any codes to indicate a problem. I've noticed a clicking sound like a turn signal is on once the engine has started. Seems to turn over fine. Today the hazards flashed for about a minute after starting the engine. Any chance these are related?

Thanks for your replies.

Sounds like an electrical issue to me. My first thought was loose connector running to the climate controls but if I remember correctly there is more than one that plugs in back there and that wouldn't cause your other symptons. If the ABS light is on and the flashers are going off as well I imagine there is a short some where in the wirring harrnes.

First thing I would do is see if you can get a hold of the wirring harnes that runs to the dash area including the climate control and push and pull on it and see if anything happens if it does than you have a short somewhere or a loose connector. If something does happen I would check all the connections going to the dash and climate controll areas. Then repeat the first step. If symptons go away problem is fixed.

If checking the connections doesn't fix it than you probaly have a short and if you are handy with cars I would get a hold of the wirring diagram and find out where the wirring splits off from the main harnes for the ABS light, climate control and flashers; than you can work from there back to try to find where they are shorting out.
