I bought a 2015 EX model last year and been experiencing the clunk and jerking problem with the the transmission. I first brought it to a local Honda dealership where they performed the 3 times flush and computer update. Didn't solve the issue. After going back a couple of times they said something was wrong with the transmission and replaced it. The van drove perfectly in the summer, but now that the weather is getting cold again( I live in Canada). , its starting to jerk and clunk again at low speeds. Anyone have any suggestions, besides going back to dealer. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I notice when its cold. I did feel it once when coming off the highway, slowing down when coming off the off ramp and then accelerating. Almost like it was stuck in 1st or 2nd gear.

Been testing for a couple of weeks now and thought issue had been resolved, unfortunately the jerking started happening again. Feels like its happening more when trying to go into 2nd geaf. Maybe needed to change the 2nd one instead of 3rd.

Went to transmission shop today, mechanic scanned the van, no codes showed up. A message did appear on display where kms usually are displayed saying " check battery sensor". They cleaned battery terminal and connector that connects sensor. Everything seemed to be ok. Went for an extensive test drive with mechanic, could not get it to jerk or clunk. Will have to keep driving to see if it does it again. Have a feeling it will happen again.

Hi guys just an update, I went to the Honda dealer where the transmission shop brought my van after the transmission was swapped. I wanted to confirm that the software update was done. They did confirm that the update was done, and service advisor said that what I was describing was "somewhat" normal operation of the van. They said that if you perform a rolling stop , the ecm , could get confused as to what gear it needed and then slam into gear. They did say that it could be something else wrong, but what I was describing was pretty normal. Thanks for all the advice, I may be looking to trade the van in for something else.

Bought the vehicle a year ago, with about 90,000 kms on it. It started jerking and brought it back to Honda dealer, since it still had some warranty left on it. They did the 3X drain and fill , and update computer program. It didn't really do anything , even after leaving the dealership it jerked. I went back numerous times after that and of course they said they couldn't reproduce it. Honda warranty expired, so I started using my third party warranty.

My mechanic referred me to a transmission shop, where they said that the shifting between 2nd and 3 rd gear were "out of spec". They got a transmission from another 2015 Odyssey with 75,000km. They put it in and then brought it to a local Honda dealership to update the software for the new transmission. Seemed to be ok, when weather was warmer, but since it got colder , its been happening again.

I wish the van would throw a code or something, at least problem could be diagnosed. Driving me nuts! At least the wife drove it the other day and she felt it jerk, after someone stopped short in front of her. When she went to accelerate it jerked the while van. Before that she thought It was me causing the issue.:D:D:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
