I would like to connect my dashcam to the front driver side fuse box also I want the dashcam to work even when the car is off this means that I need to use a fuse that is always on/hot, Is anyone able to help to know which fuse to use also I don`t want to use any fuse that is used for safety features in the car to avoid any risks.

I would appreciate if someone with knowledge can help me out.

Thank You

Looks like you can get power from the accessory circuit. Fuse C22 looks like it would have power on it (you just have to make sure you get it before it goes through the front accessory power socket relay).

There are two fuse boxes, passenger compartment a, and passenger compartment b. I was looking at a, I believe you are looking at b

It looks like you should also be able use fuse C6; that powers the moonroof (so you wouldn't have to run the wire all the way down) to the fuse box holder. Junction C236 is on the roof near the moonroof (marked in red).

I would verify w/ a voltage meter; I'm just basing all of this based on the Odyssey EWDs.

I actually just did this on my 2019 Elite using a Viofo 3-wire hardwire kit. It uses a voltage detection to keep the camera powered in "parking mode". This is the main fuse box in the driver's side footwell.

Thank you,
I have only 1 wire to connect to the fuse box.
Do you remember what is the fuse number?
Also, Can you share a picture where did you connect the - wire?

@yoels7079 I don't have my owner's manual handy for the fuse numbers, but with your 1-wire setup, you want the camera on with the car and off otherwise. That is the same as the yellow wire in my photo. It's hard to see the yellow from the red since it goes behind the vehicle wiring harness, but I think it is the fuse tap on the left in the photo. So, center row of fuses, second from the end. Note also that this photo needs to be rotated 90-degrees clockwise for the proper orientation.

From the fuse box, I ran it up via the driver's side A-pillar and tucked behind the headliner to the rear-view mirror.

Finally, here is a collection of forum posts that I gathered for this topic:

Says "front accessory / cigarette lights fuse" is always on. 15 amp.
Says "I used fuse 23, which is only hot when the car is in the accessory/running mode and off when car is off."

Try Fuse box A fuse 15 or 18. I imagine both will only have power when the car is on.

18 (Heated Steering Wheel) was my first pick also and surprisingly it has power even with the car off.
I'm assuming this is for remote start, because the heated steering wheel comes on.
I will try #15 (Rear Wiper). If someone finds a switched fuse please share.

I think I will use the fuse 18 since it is always hot I just need to find out where to connect the ground cable (Black cable)

Hey I fuse tapped the driver side footwell box.

Fuse #36 -AIRCON (switched ACC power)
Fuse #29 -PowerSeat lumbar (BATT always on)

I picked these because the add-a-circuit taps are only rated up to 10amps each and these fuse locations are such.

On my friend's accord, around the fuse box, there is 6 pin white plug for DIY work, anyone knows where it is on our ODY?
