hello Odyssey owners / experts.
We are in Norcal, considering a 2025 Odyssey and seems like there are good offers if we shop around. The Elite seems like much better value than the unicorn siennas, although some of their accessories leave me scratching my head (like the 12.5" flip down screens in 2nd row that blocks my rear view mirror, but no digital rear view mirror).
One potential deal breaker is 360 degree or surround view - the backup camera doesn't show the sides, and with teen drivers a mistake costs $2k-3k to fix the side panels. The camera equipment costs just <1.5K and help avoid such mistakes. So I am just wondering how Honda hasn't yet brought this tech to a van this size. It seems like there is no after market options either (as of now). (The dealer was pushing on the sensors - sure they are okay, but other manufacturers are offering 360 view.. why can't Honda).
Anyone knows if it will trickle from Pilot to Odyssey in 2026, at least as an option? Also if you can share your opinion on when new year's models usually arrive in the shops it would be very helpful.
