Creaking noise in fwd or reverse from dead stop.

Our 2002 EX makes a creaking sound when the van first starts moving, or when applying the brakes at slow speeds. It sounds like a creaking stair or floorboard in a house and seems to come from somewhere under the floor between the front seats. It only happens at the initial inertia shift and doesn't seem to happen, for example, on bumpy roads (although the road noise may be drowning it out once up to speed).

I thought it might be one of the seats, but I can only get it to make the noise when the van is moving (no noise when I push/pull on the seats). It's more noticeable than the gas tank thunk, which I had to listen for carefully before I noticed it.

Anyone else have this noise? Any thoughts?

Are you turning the wheels when this happens?

There is a TSB for a creaking noise from some strut bushings....

The creak happens when going straight or turning. It's most noticeable when driving over the curb up our driveway. It may well be a creaking strut. I suppose regular acceleration & braking changes the load on the front struts, also causing the creak.

Is there a place where the TSB's can be reviewed?

The summaries are in the "Info" section of this website.

I have not found the full TSB's anywhere. Alldata.com has a comment on the Honda TSB's that says Honda won't allow them to be disseminated to the buyer. I would be curious to find them myself.
Thanks for the replies. SoFlaOdyssey, where did you come across the TSB on the creaking strut? I did not see it on the Odyclub info. page.
