He's trading in his 2001 Odyssey tomorrow for 2012 Lincoln MKX.

This photo is 3-4 years old at least.

It's been a fine car but now aging and rusting.
Only got $2,300 for trading with 118,000 miles/189,000km
Could gotten more selling private I guess. Maybe $4,000?
But gotta spend money to get it certified, emission tested to sell private.
-Needs new brakes
-Clunking noise from steering
-Does not want to start once in a while last winter (ground issue I think)
-rust building up
-$3,500 accident title (Hit by an old woman in parking lot :nothappy:)

Other than that, Super clean inside (almost like brand new)

so, took a couple of hours today to remove the HID projector headlights and put the stock ones back.

2006-today

This afternoon

Anyone want to buy this?
Hours of labor and about $1,000 in parts here (when new).
Top quality parts though

Nissan Maxima Bi-xenon projectors
Philips 4,300k HID bulbs
Philips/Hella Gen 3 ballasts
H4 wiring harness

At night

HID vs Stock

I put Mobil 1 in the beginning and switched to Amsoil full synthetic 5-6 years ago, so engine is very fine also.
Transmission also has Amsoil synthetic fluid, and it's been shifting flawlessly except 1st to 2nd gear. But it came like that since new.

Thanks Odyclub!
You've been helpful when I needed help.
Maybe I'll drop by once in a while!

I'd have gotten ya an extra grand easy. Privately around here that ody would go for 5-6k all day long.

Just last week a dealer offered me $3250 for my trade, a 2000 Ody EX with 188,000+ miles. I suppose the dealer could have given your Dad a bigger discount on the new car though.

How much are you looking to get for the headlights?
Just headlights or with HID kits?

Probably gotten 1k more if we sold private.
But to avoid phone calls, emails, low ball offers, test drive, plus time for us to go tune up, I think it's ok.

Ya, he got $10,000 off compare to "Build & Price" price on Licolncanada.com
2012 model too and the dealership still got 20+ 2011 models in the lot.
Could saved another $3k if he went for 2011

The DRL was disabled, so you are fine.
Think I can do $750 shipped to you.

That was the price of the HID kit alone when it was new.
Paid $200-300 for the bi-xenon projectors.
$50 for the Projector bezel (from Chrysler Pacifica)
$200-300 for the used OEM headlight housing
5-6 hours of labor.

5 years old, but it wasn't used that much.
Low mileage on vehicle and he mostly drove in the day time.
