My husband and I are in the process of buying a dark cherry pearl Touring long distance. It was our #1 choice at first but now that we have seen a few around it looks darker and almost purplish. Is this right or are we studying it too much? LOL. Of course there are no other colors to choose from right now that we like except for an elite and we don't want to spend that much. Any opinions?

Great color but I have yet to even see one at a dealership by me.

I was looking originally at Dark Cherry, but the color in person is, as you say, a purple-brown. The photos and color chips in the brochure depict a dark red, but that is not really correct. Once I saw one in the metal, I chose a different color van, though none of this year's paint choices were very attractive to me.

We own a Dark Cherry Odyssey Touring. It is the same color as the dark red color as the 2010 Odyssey and 2011 MDX. Doesn't seem as dark as the dark red Pilot. It is definitely darker than the color sample in the catalog and website.

We love the color. Our 2001 MDX and 2011 Odyssey are similar in color.

We have the 2011 dark Cherry Pearl Touring and yes it is the same cherry as the earlier Odyssey. Our preference was the the mocha colored interior leather but I was not going to go with the white exterior. That mocha appears to be a much better quality leather than the tan - not looking forward to it aging. Otherwise the cherry looks great as I wash it every 2 weeks and keep it garaged. Never detected the purple in the skin tone.

I am very happy with the color

I have the dark cherry Touring, and yes the real life color is darker than the sample colors, and yes I do wish it were a little more red like my previous honday - but I still love it. The cool thing about this color is how different it looks in different light. At times it looks almost brown, other times more like the dark cherry with strong red tones, or a darker wine color - kind of cool - definitely beats the single note of say a white or silver.

Good luck with your purchase
