I know this is obvious, and you've probably already considered this, but you'll get an answer a lot faster by just pulling out your owner's manual.

I'm sure you're not being lazy and your manual is just out of reach right now... ;)

Page 140 in the manual. The select/reset knob is located to the right and lower part of the speedometer.

Not As Simple As We Thought

Yes, if you turn the light switch to Auto you can turn the brightness switch near the speedometer and the instruments will light up ... but, this only works in the garage or in the dealership service entrance where there is reduced light (the Honda service people tried) ... once out in the sunlight the instrument panel lights turn off. Evidentally the light sensor on the top of the dash turns off the headlights and dash lights. I suppose I could put a hat over the light sensor (haven't tried that yet). I called Honda and so far they have no solution for dash lights being able to be turned on when driving in daylight ... like cars such as Cadillac and lots of others. Get everything all set up to be on in the garage and the dash lights turn off outside the garage. If Honda calls me back with a solution I will let you know.
