I found what I thought was a good deal at http://www.rackwarehouse.com/index.html on the roof rack towers, crossbars, and lock cores. They have a 20% discount on the Doublecross towers and crossbar combination--$120 for the set of 4 towers and 2 crossbars. Until 27 January they have free FedEx ground shipping for orders over $150--online ordering only. I bought the Doublecross towers, 58" crossbars, and a set of 4 lock cores for about $160. This includes a $5 oversized shipping cost for the 58" bars. The standard 48" bars don't require the extra $5 shipping. With the 58" bars there is about 9" of bar past the edge of the roof rack, which is still well inside the footprint of the vehicle. I didn't measure, but the top of the crossbar sits 2-3" about the top of the roof rails.

I was happy with the service and the rack installed easily. The sales person I talked with before making the online order was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Sounds like a good deal. Esp. when you consider that some places want $115 for the Honda bars that are not warranted. Now if I could just find someone to buy my unused OE Honda bars-------.

Yakima fit table doesn't list Ody as one of the models supported. Did you have to talk to live person for size selection? Thanks.

Choose 2001 instead of 2002, then Odyssey will show up. They do recommend the 48" bars.

I put our Yakima Space Cadet case on the roof last night and I believe that the 48" bars will not provide additional storage space for bikes. In fact, that box leaves little room on either side between the towers. However, if you are using a narrower box, there probably will be room. For the extra $5 shipping, I think the 58" bars are worth it. Besides, you can always cut them down.

I will post my impressions of the rack with the Space Cadet after our trip to NC this weekend--about 300 miles.

We had no issues with the rack or storage case over the 600 miles. I couldn't hear any additional wind noise with our normal interior noise level--kids, radio, etc. One suggestion to consider is to get a side-loading case. The Space Cadet loads from the rear, which is tough to do on the tall Odyssey, especially when you are only 5'5". It is easy enough to use a step ladder, but it is tough to reach the front of the case. Also, the "supports" for the top of the case get in the way if you load from the side.
