Those things are usually contracted with the trucker unions, and are straight across the board. You pay the freight even if the dealership is next door to the factory. Or you pay the same freight if it's 3000 miles away.
Union people like to know exactly what they're getting.
That being said, freight is still $440 according to the pricing I got last Friday. If your dealer is trying to screw you, it won't last long; the freight is listed right there on the window sticker. (And because it's negotiated up front and is the same price no matter where in the continent the car was shipped to, that's how they *can* put it on the sticker.)
