Nice write up and thanks for directing me in to possible problem areas
I did not do the hole entire panel removal because I'm hoping it's just the door stop issue
If it is I'll post a pic of what I used

I still haven't gone for the test ride but I'll have something when I get home from work tonight..

Thx again

- Skip the door panel for now because it takes some 1h (although it is easy).

- The fuel hose thingy: if you have Butyl Rope and fuel hose, it is a 2-minute job.
A housewife can do this (that is what my wife said LOL).
She is very happy now!
looks like its a success!!!!
i have no more annoying sounds!!!

i dont have a picture cus its dark and it poring buckets out there but i used a rubber seal plug (X4) we use at work for the aircraft engines we build.

slightly modded to make it thinner the normal which is .75"
the rubber is soft enough to expand without ripping or bursting from the door pressure
its about .20 / .25" i taped it with 3m double sided tape to test but im going to remove and get some automotive 3m tape and re install..

easy fix.. thank you gain for your help

P.S. im glad i didnt have to take the panel out

Hi str8puertorox,

Now you make me think about a permanent fix...I am thinking the following (I have not done it yet)...

- If you look at the Front of the SLIDING DOOR, you will see 3 rubber stops.
Ironically, they are called Rubber Stops but they virtually never touch the BODY FRAME!

- Remove a Rubber Stop, you will see that it is inserted into a hole about 5 mm in diameter.

- Here is my thought: one the BODY FRAME side @ the position of the Middle Rubber Stop area, drill a 5mm hole (measure the hole on the Sliding Door to be sure).

- For the hole: either apply a bit of grease or paint the edges with primer to prevent rust.

- Buy the Honda factory Rubber Stopper for $4 (PN is 72507-S0X-A01).
Then trim the thickness a bit so it is about 6-7mm (check to be sure).

Now we have a permanent fix, what do you think?
