Hi
I installed new end links few months back, but didn't grease them at the time.
Do new ones need to be greased?
Also which grease is recommended as I plan to do it now

Almost always there is not enough grease. I always check and add grease if needed. Silicone grease works the best IMO, it doesn't dry up as fast.

So I got a cheap grease gun with some general purpose grease and tried to do this.
Was able to do one side, and filled them up as much as I could. Will retry the other side with a better grease gun (since this one was leaking more grease from the connecting point then transferring through the Zerg) and silicone grease...

These have a grease relief valve right? I could see grease coming out of one of the boots, as I must have over filled it...

They should be greased. I use Lucas marine grease.

If you are having issues with pumping grease through the zerk fitting, try manually pushing the zerk fitting in with something pointed to free it up if it is stuck. I have also had issues where I needed to unscrew the zerk fitting a 1/2 turn or so because it was bottoming out inside the ball joint and not letting grease in.

Excess grease will escape around the rubber boot.

Why not just give Moog a call or email and ask them, they'll be able to give you advice on maintenance/greasing schedule grease types, and whether that grease zerk actually requires you to back it out a quarter turn or so?

Please post back if you do contact them, so we all can expand our knowledge....
