I have the wide DVD on TE, but if i hook up a device via HDMI input, does it really make any difference? Isn't the quality of the screen such that there is no difference between HDMI and Composite A/V?
I don't know if the DVD upconverts from sub HDMI to HDMI (e.g., 360i to 720p). Composite AV is not as good as component AV which is not as good as HDMI (right?). If it doesn't upconvert then I would say you will see a difference in the picture quality. I have a 1080p plasma screen at home but when I plug in my Wii which is component A/V I notice a difference. Maybe it's the resolution of the game regardless, not sure.
The Honda Odyssey RES screen is fairly low res so it the picture quality between RCA and HDMI is fairly negligible. I think Honda included the HDMI port to accommodate lot of the newer generation of devices.
