I have spent the last 2 weeks that we have our Ody observing the door rattles. I have come to the conclusion that the outside temperature has something to do with it. The temperature here in SLC during this time of the year fluctuates from 0 - 50 degrees F. On a relatively warm day (35-50 degrees) the door rattle meter ranges from 0-3 based on a rating of 0-10…and that’s tolerable. I work nights and this is usually the temperature when I go to work. It’s my drive home on cold nights that drive me crazy! I got so annoyed with it one night that I actually pulled over on the side of the freeway to check it out and I realized a later how cold it was that night, it might’ve been in the low to mid teens. Going back to what I’ve learned in my elementary science class, generally, solid things, <un>especially plastic</un> tend to contract when it’s cold and expands when it’s hot.
