We've had our brand new 02Ody in Evergreen Pearl for two weeks now. Today after washing it, I noticed the trim molding around the driver's side window is black but the passenger's side is in evergreen like our van color. I thought that was odd they were not the same color and showed it to my husband. He doesnt think its right either. I am just wondering are they supposed to be the same color and same type of molding? The drivers side has a black plastic rubber trim on the top and sides of the window while the other side window trim feels like the body of the Ody and in that same color. I'm wondering if this is normal or did they screw up at the factory? Does the U.S. models Ody have the same color window trim as the body of the van? I hope I'm making some sense here as I am not sure if I'm explaining this right.
Then if that wasn't enough, later on I noticed on top of the roof, just above the drivers side, there is about an half inch of a scraped paint! I thought I rubbed too hard or something like that when washing the Ody. Pointed it out to my husband and he said that it looks like a factory problem again! I am abit disappointed in already finding a few flaws in our Ody. I realize no vechile is perfect but the window trims not being the same colors sort of makes me nervous in thinking someone was half asleep when putting our Ody together. Gosh, hopefully there won't be any more surprises. My husband did a thorough check outside the van later and didn't see anything else strange!
He's gonna take it back to the dealers tomorrow and show it to them and see what they say. He would like them though to fix the scraped paint on top of the roof. Has anyone had any similar thing happen?? Thanks for listening and would appreciate any info!
