I have had a 2018 EX-L and now a 2021 Touring. I've put snow tires on both since I am up in rural NH and live on a road that the town forgets to plow. I never really use the snow mode. I just put the van into Eco mode and find that seems to do enough of the work of cutting the torque. The few times I've used snow mode, I've actually found it not helpful because when going the steep hills at both ends of my road, it limits you from manually shifting into first which is helpful to come to a stop versus hitting the brakes. I think Eco mode combined with snow tires makes the van pretty good in bad weather, but I would never take my family out into the snow in that van with the OEM tires, snow mode or not, as it is a sled.
