I had successfully burned a backup of one of the kid's dvd's a few years ago but now I just made about 10 coasters because I just can't seem to get it to work. I remember I had to use DVD -r media which I am, am I supposed to be burning off the video_ts folder, a certain .vob file within the video_ts, or something else like an .avi or .wmv?

Any specific burner settings (booktype, joliet, etc) that I'm supposed to use?

I should add I'm currently using dvdshrink to rip the DVD then Imgburn to burn it to disk. The DVD's play fine in my computer but when I put it in the van it sits there then i get a DISK message on screen

at what speed r u burning your disk at? dvd-r or +r shouldn't make a difference, also what brand disk is it? try using Sony or Verbatim burned at 4x. i personally use AnyDVD and CloneDVD for my backups and have never had an issue. Everything plays fine in our 2005 Ody touring.

after having trouble with the dvd's i had I picked up some dvd -r's at walmart, the are memorex and all now play fine. It was those other brand dvd's that were the problem
