Hi there,

I'm very disappointed in the built-in DVD player in our 2011 Touring edition, and am wondering if there are any fixes (any price!).

On our old 2008 Odyssey, we could play VCDs, home-burnt DVDs, and of course new retail DVDs. In the new car, it's new retail DVDs only!! We find this extremely frustrating... I can't remember the last time I came across a player anywhere that was this limited.

Are there any options out there? I hate how inconvenient Honda has made this.

I played several home burnt DVDs including Toy Story 3 and Yogi Bear without any problems. I used both DVD-R and DVD+R and thy both worked fine. My only complaint is that it can't play Blu-ray discs.

On a side note, the CD player is very versatile and can play various types of audio discs.
