*** DVD Video on NAV using a simple switch... ***
Well I have seen a couple of different posts on how to get DVD Video on the NAV screen. Among these are Ryu's thread where he uses 2 SPDT relays with a camera control unit and another post by L&S Van shows another way of doing this also by using two relays, a SPDT and a DPDT relay. While these methods certainly work, and I give credit to their work...I will show you two easier ways of doing this:
THESE DIAGRAMS REFER TO 2005-07 MODELS ONLY. (2008+ WIRING OR WIRE COLORS MAY BE DIFFERENT!)
The first method requires nothing more than a simple DPDT switch! That's it. You can use a rocker type switch as long as it has 6 pins. No relay or diodes required!
If however you choose to install an ON/OFF switch such as the oem fog light switch; this requires a little more work so you will need a DPDT relay. Still only one relay and no other diodes or complicated wiring! (Note the pins on the relay as it is shown upside down in the diagram.)
