"Now if only I could find those or the Bosch replacements somewhere... "
I think Target and Pep Boys carry them; don't know about our sizes, though.

#559 of 565 Auburn63-door rattles? by ckon Mar 20, 2001 (09:42 am)
I've had good luck so far with two procedures.
First, "floating" and adjusting the plastic female receivers on the front of the door
jams. If you loosen them just a little so that they stay in place until slight force is
applied, and then close the door to allow the male parts, or pins, to engage them,
the position of the door will float them into place. It might be worth a try to put some
gentle inward force on the front edge of the door when it's closed to make sure the
receivers are biased as far inward as possible. Then gently release the pressure on
the door. Now re-open the door and tighten the receiver's mounting bolts. This is the
final adjustment recommended after all other door adjustments are in spec.
The second trick that has worked well for me is lubing ALL of the door seals,
especially the sliders, with silicone spray. This really quiets a lot of little noises.
The fastest, easiest amd neatest way I've come up with is to spray the silicone onto
a small sponge and than apply it to the seals. At first, lubing worked like magic, but
the fix didn't last long. I've had my van for almost six months and at first I had to
apply the lube ever week or two, but the interval seems to be getting much longer,
so it takes a a number af applications to build up or soak in or whatever.
It's possible that if you lube the seals first, that's all it needs. Hope this helps.

Oops, treyh1 is right . I forgot to mention the bumpers. You might want to do the
bumpers before you do the float.
The bumpers (one on each side) are 12" up from the bottom of the door, 3" forward
of the rear edge of the door. There are also two on each of the front doors. Find
them and then you'll know what you're looking for. They are designed to be adjusted
by hand; just unscrew it to make the door fit tighter.
It's probably best to do the lube first, then the bumpers, and the receivers last. Then
if one fixes it, you don't have to do the other(s).

You probably can't see it here, but all of the references to our forum's address were in bold so I guess that's what I did wrong. How they see the inclusion of the address of this forum as a solicitation of a product or service, I'll never know. I don't think they want Ody owners to have access to any info unless it comes from Edmunds.
If inviting people to our the forum here threatens Edmunds, they've got a problem.
