Can anyone provide me the name of a reputable company that sells extended warranties? I would like to purchase one for my 2000 Ody Lx and my dealer is quoting $1200-1500. I'm not sure who's plan they are selling but I'd like to find a less expensive one. If I could find one that ONLY covered the transmission, that would be ideal. I have generally have faith in the rest of the van, it's just the tranny I worry about. Thanks.

If you haven't already checked, look in the Warranty forum for more details. There was information about dealers and their offerings.

I purchased a 7/100,000/0 Honda Care Warranty through a dealer for about $900, but it seems that not all dealers carry Honda-backed warranties. Not all will sell the Honda one for $900 either.

Check Alton Blakley Honda, Somerset in KY. The business manager is Tracy Dalton and she can send out a kit, the price she quoted to me for 7/100/0 was $875, I checked with my dealer and they told me to grab it. Their site is www.abhonda.com
