Supposedly the grille off a '14 won't fit early years because there's a slight variation in design in the hood, but good luck to you and post pics if it fits!

I do understand. But it does not really show that much when you see it live and I imagine that you notice it less since it's black on black.
Plus the only reason I tried it was because i had someone's pick-up reverse in my bumper (so had insurance money to do it).
I'm trying to refresh and having fun with the car without going crazy with it :)

No worries, Phil, I thought about doing it myself, but being the anal retentive person I am, I can't get over that gap. :)

Okay, gotta a ask the dumb question. Why do you want to do this???

I get that you want to customize the vehicle - got it. But a grill from another year that doesn't quite fit - don't get it.

Many vehicles, trucks especially, have customized grill instead of the original so I can see how one might want a different appearance about their car. Is there not other options for Odyssey? I simply don't know.

In fact, there are several threads about putting 2014 parts onto 2011~2013 (e.g., LED tail light assembly) - again, why?

Completely understand upgrading for performance parts or something better than factory but to go through the change just for new model year parts - don't get it still....

The question about the grille that doesn't fit, is quite simple I did not know that the hood was going to be a little bit short.
I had no way of knowing it before putting it on.
the fact that I change the front grille is purely esthetic, because my car is black and did not like the gray color grille with i, so when I saw
the new black color grille I like it better. And has I said before, I had a accident with my bumper so had insurance money to cover everything, otherwise I would not have spend that money.
VoilĂ ! Plus it's the only thing that I have change.

Thanks for the response. There was a thread while back that showed someone who had blacked out the grill (and everything else too) by painting/powder coat it. If you still have the old grill, perhaps black paint maybe an option, if you ever decide the gap becomes problematic.

I have a dark cherry Ody and would like the grill be be the same body color instead of gray but have not done anything about it so I get it....

Hi I'm new here! Proud owner of 2011 odyssey.
I did the upgrade for just $200 and I'm really satisfied!
At first was afraid of the problem with the grill popping out to much but is really minor thing, I can live with that maybe later will upgrade the hood as well.
Here some pic:

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing.

I'll look out for a grill and lower grill. Heck if the headlights are available i'll throw those in too.

If a wrecked (knock on wood) 14+ Ody comes up and the grills are available i'll look to make the switch on my 2012.

Hi, when you replacing the Headlights and front Grill.... do you had to adjust something or everything fit...??
