Hi,

I have on 04 with 144k that has a rumbling sound on the front left and slightly towards the middle. The noise sounds very much like a bad bearing. The noise is most pronounced when making sweeping turn to the right which puts more weight/load on the left. If I make a sweeping turn to the left, no noise, whisper quiet, as the weight/load shift off of the left and onto the right. If I am just going straight, the rumbling is still there, just not as pronounced and the intensity of the noise changes with the van shifting weight side to side with the undulations of the road.

I have replace the front left bearing, knuckle, and half shaft without any change in noise. There is a little noise in the mid shaft bearing on the right side, but I don't think this would be causing my noise. My van has the high pitch whistle noise in the tranny that starts in third gear. It has had that noise since I bought the van 35k miles ago and has no problems shifting, i just ignore noise and tell people its a turbo.

My mechanic and I are kinda stumped. Any suggestions? Could noise be radiating out from transmission.
Noise is there even when I turn off car and let it coast. Van has newer Michelins.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
