The front passenger window on our '06 Ody squeals like crazy whenever I try to open the window. Closing the window makes no noise at all which is really strange. If I take a small paint brush and brush the rubber around the window with dry silicone lubricant the squeal goes away. But, spraying the brush with the dry silicone wastes a lot of the contents in the can. I tried spraying the run channels directly but it just makes a big mess and goes everywhere. If it gets on the dark matte trim, it's really hard to remove. Does anyone know if there is a liquid version of the dry silicone lube? What I mean is something you can brush it on and it will dry like the sprayon. Or is there something you guys are using that works better.

Check out TSB 10-011 "Service Manual Update: Power Window Goes Up and Reverses On Its Own, Is Slow to Open and Close, or Squeals, Creaks, Clunks, or Clicks" in the TSB threads for details and info to help solve your issue.

Honda uses Shin-Etsu Grease: P/N 08798-9013

My driver's window does this in my '08. Has done so since the day I bought it.

Tinted the front windows - no change.

Cleaned the felt - no change.

Had the dealer check it out - as always, "no problem found" (it does it every single time for me) and was (as usual) less than interested or helpful.

I wish had some ideas for solving it...

When I clean mine and lube the channel with dry silicone lube the squeal actually goes away. But this only lasts about a month and then it's back and you have to repeat the process. Pain in the a$$ especially when it's always the same window.
