We've had a recurring noise in our 2007 Odyssey (25,000 mi). We've had our mechanic and the dealer check it, but because it's only audible after prolonged highway driving, they have not heard it. It's unrelated to turning or braking. It's low frequency and very audible from the front end at a stop. The sound could be compared with a the sound of a very distant chainsaw cutting wood. The frequency rapidly increases with acceleration and becomes inaudible due to road noise and highness of frequency. I can convince myself I can feel a very mild steering wheel vibration that corresponds to the noise at lower frequencies. Any thoughts would be helpful! Thanks! Bill

Hmmmmm maybe the belt or the belt tensioner? Just throwing out an opinion since it sounds like the sound is coming from the powertrain area.

Could be the steering pump issue. Not the typical symptom...but certainly falls into that category. Will likely become more common at some point.
