(Not sure if the link to my photo will work.)

Wife says last time she filled the tank, the gas pump nozzle would not stay in the fuel fill port. Should there be a check valve or some kind of metal flap at the port hole? I know my Suzuki and other cars we have had used a check valve as a vapor barrier.

If so, any idea what might have happened to it? Was it on the backside of the port and fell back down into the filler neck? Or was it mounted externally and maybe got stuck on a gas pump nozzle? You can see four small holes, assumedly for pressure relief or something.

Possibly someone tried to siphon gas? I just don't know.

Hope this makes sense. Any help/experience/comments are appreciated.

Thanks,
Louis

That's how its supposed to be. This is a Honda and they hve to be different than others. They do not have a flap that closes the fill neck like some other makes do.

Thanks. User error is entirely possible here as well.
