Hi, I have a 2003 with a fuel gauge that rarely moves. When it does decide to move it is not to the correct position. The manual says that there should be 5-8 volts back at the connector on the pump/sender. I have 4.9 volts. After changing the gauge and now the pump/sender it still is broken. The ground wire is good. I checked voltage at the gauge cluster connector and find only 1.2 volts. How can the volts increase from the instrument panel (1.2v) out to the pump/sender (4.9v)? Any ideas on what to try next.
