Agreed, also if you are using the rear A/C a lot, that kicks on the second compressor that kills mileage even more. I tend to avoid using the rear and just turn on the front and crank it up, if I can get away with it

There are two compressors in the Ody? How do you turn the second one off?

I think I have my terms wrong. I believe there is only one compressor but a 2nd condenser is located in the rear of the vehicle. You can tell when you have the A/C use after a longish drive and you stop the car. You will see water dripping from the rear of the car, just like the front. I believe this the condensation from the condenser.

I normally just cut airflow completely to the rear of the car and crank up the front A/C a bit to compensate. Now keep in mind I rarely have passengers in the 3rd row, and I live in California so I can probably get away with this most of the time. I think if you live in a more humid climate, the people in the back would complain quite a bit
