I just took our 02 E-XL RRP for it's 15k service. During the service
one of the service consultants came up to me and told me albout a service bulletin regarding a bolt hole leak near the timing belt. Our dealership had to order the parts so we were w/o Ody for a day. I got the vehicle back today and noticed that there was a funny noise coming from the engine compartment. It sounded like a playing card rubbing against spokes of a bicycle.

I also noticed that right after I left the service bay, all of the dash lights flickered for less than a second....worried

Just returned from secondary trip to dealer service. It turns out that the noise coming from the engine compartment was the a/c compressor. The entire unit needs to be replaced. Under warranty of course . The service consultant told me that they have had alot of problems with the a/c compressors. Anyone else heard this or was the service consultant trying to make me feel better...
