Hi all,

got rear ended today in my Oddyssy 2007 EXL. My son and I are ok, I would like to understand what you think are things I should look out for as I continue my voyage of discovery with my insurance company and the Honda collision repair folk, specifically around the damage and required fixes.

Was hit from behind, smack on center by an 18 wheeler going at 20 KMPH(on crash report from police). There was a small frontal collision as I hit the car in front, but the rear is the main concern.

Attached is a poor taken photo I took on a cell phone. The rear bumper completely collapsed and the tow guy confirmed that the metal support structure behind the bumper had bent.

Many thanks for you help.

Glad you are both okay.

My biggest concern would be bending of the unibody structure in the rear. I would want a precise laser measurement taken to verify that the body is okay before starting any repairs.

again glad you guys are ok! Another concern after the unibody, would be the squareness of the rear lift gate opening and its ability to seal correctly.
