My 2016 odyssey exl developed a weird problem, last night, I found the car stay in power on mode after I shut down the engine. To avoid draining the battery, I disconnect the battery. This morning, I found I cannot start the car after connecting the battery. No cranking at all. Green key light on the dash, both key fobs are not recognized by the car and cannot lock/unlock the door. I did some quick research, tried to push the shifter knob and it did not help at all. Also checked the battery voltage and all fuse, no issues found. Battery reading is 12.5 V.
Called local honda dealership but was informed the next available service appointment will be three weeks away!
Looks like I have to try more troubleshooting by myself. Any inputs and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
